Material

AF JOINT is an element designed for the specific fire protection of expansion joints: Building structures, including fire compartmentalization structures, require spaces capable of compensating for natural expansions normally due to temperature changes and occasionally also to load variations. These loads represent solutions of continuity with respect to the fire resistance of the element that contains them and can compromise, if not carried out according to the rules of the art, the characteristics of an entire compartmentalization. AF JOINT is made of a highly insulating product coated, on both sides, with a special treatment that allows the joint to resist the temperature of the STD curve for at least 180 minutes (EI 180) as required by the UNI EN1366-4 regulation.

Editor

The panel must be inserted by pressure inside the joint both in the wall and in the floor. For certification purposes it needs to be sealed with a special fireproof sealant for joints of width 200 mm or more
