CPRGIUNTI AF SEISMIC JOINT is an element specifically designed and certified as a gasket for expansion joints, particularly suitable when large movements of the support are expected, as in the case of very tall buildings or for application in areas at risk of earthquakes and in structures with seismic isolation at the base. The mats are easy to install, they can be fixed both to the intrados and in the thickness of the floor and fixed with metal plates and simple expansion plugs. CPR GIUNTI AF SEISMIC JOINT consists of two rock wool mats with an ablative treatment in between, the exposed faces are covered with a sheet of meshed aluminum plus metal mesh. Once the mat has been assembled, a metal sheet/mesh of at least 10/10 mm thickness or a metal structural joint must be applied to the side not exposed to fire. The product assembled in this way is able to guarantee fire resistance of class EI 120.
