Material

The profiles are equipped with a central omega-shaped body that acts as a joint and two ribbed wings on both sides to facilitate perfect anchoring or fusion with bituminous sheaths or with double-layer PVC synthetic membranes. The GDO 40/40 type is equipped with a triple safety bulb while the GDL 30/40 type has a double safety bulb. TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS: Resistant to degradation caused by the sun, ozone and other atmospheric or chemical agents, normally present. It has high flexibility even at low temperatures. The mechanical characteristics remain unchanged over time. They are compatible with prefabricated bituminous membranes such as APP, SBS, spread bitumen and with PVC synthetic membranes.

Editor

To obtain excellent adhesion between the profile and the bituminous membranes or synthetic coverings, it is advisable to carefully clean the surfaces to be glued, even using solvents. In some cases it may be appropriate to nail the profiles in order to ensure greater adhesion, especially with bituminous coverings. Welding of the joint directly on site is also possible, with the aid of a normal hot air heater. The expansion joints type GDO 40/40 and GDL 30/40 can be used on roofs, foundations, bridges and viaducts.
