Material

Monolithic concrete floors must be divided by construction joints to compensate for the movements of the various panels. These floors are subjected to both internal and external stresses. Often, damage occurs mainly at the joints. The joints of monolithic floors should compensate for mutual movements (which occur between two panels joined by a construction joint), i.e. movements due to moisture loss in the initial setting phase, horizontal, perpendicular and parallel to the joint itself, normally caused by thermal construction and contractions of the concrete. At the same time, the joints must block vertical and curling movements of the surface of the panels resulting from traffic, heavy loads and passive pressure from irregularities in the ground. SINUS construction joints ensure an equal distribution of loads between the various panels, preventing excessive localized stresses. Construction profiles help reduce tensions and stresses, also reducing the formation of surface cracks and making the floor more durable, also improving comfort in use. The joints should be in such number as to divide the floor into regular more or less quadrangular sections, with a surface area equal to the expected daily floor production. For the design and quantity of joints to be used, refer to the CNR-DT 211/2014 regulation. The system is supplied complete with accessories, ready for easy installation. You only need to arrange the Copri DOWEL profiles and connect them without using any wrenches, but only with the screws and wing nuts supplied with the rest of the material. Special jacks for installing the joint during installation are available on request.
